Godspell Cast


Cameron Miles Young (Jesus) is a junior theatre major at UNCW. Previous roles include Joseph in Upper Room Theatre’s Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Max Detweiler in The Sound of Music, Jonathan Brewster in Arsenic and Old Lace, Harold Hill in The Music Man and ensemble parts in Bye Bye Birdie, Annie Get Your Gun, Peter Pan, Footloose, and Cinderella. He performed in parades for the Disney College Program in Orlando last fall and has also worked with Nickelodeon as a show host for Dora’s Sing-Along Adventure at Carowinds Theme Park.

Adam Poole (John the Baptist/Judas) is proud to be a part of another production at City Stage. He is graduate of UNCW with a BA in Theatre Performance. Recent theatre credits: Chicago; Proof; Jesus Christ Superstar; RENT ; Merchant of Venice; Our Lady of 121st Street; HAIR  and Stop Kiss.

Newlin Parker (Ensemble) After almost nine years, Newlin has become a regular part of the theater community in Wilmington, having participated in many shows, including Cats, 1776, Into the Woods, Urinetown, The Wizard of OZ, Sweeney Todd, Jekyll and Hyde, and West Side Story.  He has a B.M. in Vocal Music, and enjoys singing in the ensemble as much as playing character roles, when he's not busy working at Time Warner Cable or fixing lights at Ibiza.

Tracy Byrd (Ensemble) is very excited to be working with such a wonderful cast.His last City Stage show was "RENT' where he played Benny.Some of his other credits include "Five Guys Named Moe"(NO MOE/ass.director),"Smokey Joe's Cafe"(Adrian/Victor),"Songs For A New World","The Wild Party"(Mr.Black),"DreamGirls"(Curtis),and "WestSide Story"(Bernado).He would like to thank Willie and Chiaki Ito for believing in him and most of all GOD for His many blessings.

Keith Welborn (Ensemble)This is Keith’s 2nd show at City Stage and he is overwhelmed to be working with such an amazing group of people. Keith was last seen in Opera House Theater Company’s The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas and has been in over 2 dozen productions in Wilmington. He would like to thank his family, everyone involved in the cast, Trentest Duntley, and God for giving him yet again, another opportunity to express himself on stage!!

Morganna Bridgers (Ensemble)  is a UNCW Theatre graduate.  Previous roles include Sheila in Hair, Popeye Jackson in The Miss Firecracker Contest, Lisa in Debbie Does Dallas the Musical, Janet in The Rocky Horror Show, Roxie in Chicago, and most recently as Ellen in The Little Dog Laughed.  

Jes Dugger (Ensemble) is thrilled to be a part of such an immensely talented cast and crew! Favorite regional theatre credits include The Little Mermaid Natn'l tour (Mermaid), Bat Boy: The Musical (Shelley Parker), Hair (Sheila), and most recently The Rocky Horror Show (Columbia). Jes also has a handful of commercial credits and even had some lines on One Tree Hill this season!  You may have also seen her in the popular viral webisode Welcome to Caffeine Highway! She would like to thank her incredible family for their endless supply of love and support, and Willie for laughing at her jokes.

Joy Gregory (Ensemble) is pleased to be a part of such a meaningful show and talented cast. Although Joy earned her Master’s in Counseling Psychology and is a certified life coach/counselor, her passion has always been performing.  Past performances have included Hairspray (Motormouth Maybelle), Buddy (Etta James), Rent (Joanne), Nunsense (Sister Hubert) and Smokey Joe’s Café (BJ), to name a few.  Thanks be to God for His unmerited favor, to my family for their unconditional love, and to my friends for their unwavering support.

Anna Gamel (Ensemble) is excited to be in her second production with City Stage! She had the privilege of being a part of "Chicago" this past January, one of her favorite shows. She has also been seen in many Guerilla Theatre productions, including character roles in "Catastropolis", "Captain Ridiculous", and "Night of the Living Dead." She is thankful for every opportunity to shine on stage!

Mackenzie Wicker (Ensemble) is thrilled to be working with City Stage for the first time. She is a graduate of the UNCW Theatre department and recently appeared in Red Barn Studio Theatre’s production of Lobby Hero. Other recent credits include Dog Sees God, Our Lady of 121st Street, Wild Duck, and Mr. Marmalade.
