ABOUT THE SHOW: Eight-year-old Tina Denmark was born to entertain. When the school play announces auditions for its upcoming musical “Pippi in Tahiti,” Tina knows she must land the lead role at any cost, including murder. Poking fun at some of Broadway’s greatest musicals, Ruthless! is a cutthroat romp with outrageous music and a malicious, but delicious sense of humor.
Cast of Ruthless!
Lily Zukerman
(Tina)
Lily Zukerman is 12 years old and has been acting as long as she can remember. She's almost as passionate about the stage as "Tina." Ruthless! is her first show with Cape Fear Theatre Arts. Along with her turn as Caliban in The Tempest with Shakespeare on the Green, Lily's having a monstrous summer. She is grateful for the chance to work with Katherine Vernon, whom she loves and admires. Thank you, Kat, Chiaki, and Justin, for this wonderful opportunity; Julie Poole, for your genius, patience and coaching; and Judy Greenhut, for everything.
Davis Byrd
(Judy/Ginger)
Davis Byrd is a sophomore Theatre Major at UNCW. She was last seen locally in UNCW's production as Athena in Troy Women. A few past credits include Belle in Beauty and the Beast, Luisa in The Fantasticks, and Marmee in Little Women. She is excited and grateful to be making her debut at Cape Fear Theatre Arts and would like to thank cast, crew and, as always, her supportive family.
Alisa Harris
(Lita Encore)
Recently, Alisa performed in The Threepenny Opera at City Stage, in Shadowlands for Big Dawg Productions and in various dinner theatre shows. She’s also featured in the films Isopods and Piranha 3DD coming to theaters later this year. She’s also been featured in A Walk To Remember and Showtime’s Going To California and many commercials and local videos. Alisa is currently building a downtown dinner theatre. You can find information at www.theatrewilmington.com. She’s also executive producing a tv series featuring prominent local women called Women of Women and you can find information about that venture at www.womenofwilmington.com. Alisa actually enjoys musicals, especially those with this cast and crew!!!!
Madison Weidberg
(Eve/Louise)
Madison is a graduate of The American Musical and Dramatic Academy in NYC. You may have seen her performing at City Stage in Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, Lost Highway- The Hank Williams Musical, Debbie Does Dallas The Musical, or The Great American Trailer Park Musical. Madison was also a guest star on the Lifetime Television show Drop Dead Diva last year and has acted in many films shot throughout the southeast. She sends a special thank you to her family and Cullen for their continued love and support.
Charlie Robertson
(Sylvia St. Croix)
As an actor, singer, radio personality and theatre arts teacher for differently abled individuals, Charlie has worn many hats throughout his career. Thanks to Kat, that hat now requires a pin. Charlie has performed throughout the Southeast and in New York. Previous roles include Father in Children of Eden, Maurice in Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, Robert in Proof and Hucklebee in The Fantasticks –not to mention his almost four seconds on Law & Order (clang, clang). “Thank you, Kat, for this amazing opportunity. You are the whitten’s kiskers. And, a big bucket of hugs for all my 'supporting' (wink) cast, both little and small. I love you all – ‘cause you’ve got talent!”
Emily Bohbrink
(Myrna Thorn/Block)
Emily Bohbrink will be a junior at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in the fall. Through UNC Pauper Players, she has performed in All Shook Up and Sweet Charity. In Wilmington, she was most recently seen in Anything Goes and Fiddler on the Roof. She would like to thank Kat and Chiaki for this opportunity, as well as the cast and crew of Ruthless! for making this such a wonderful experience.
