Threepenny Opera Cast

 

William Day (Macheath) is proud to be part of this production and thankful for the opportunity to play such a fun role! He was last seen in City Stage's production of Hair which he also directed. Other theatre credits include The Average-Asian American (Off-Broadway), Jesus Christ Superstar (European Tour), Miss Saigon (Gateway Playhouse), Godspell (Temple Theatre) and tours with TheatreworksUSA and the Hampstead Players in New Hampshire. Television credits include guest spots on both Dawson's Creek and One Tree Hill as well as numerous indie films and commercials.

Sophie Amelkin (Polly Peachum) is a Music Education student at UNCW and is excited to be a part of this incredibly talented cast! Recent roles include "Hodel" in Fiddler on the Roof, "Muriel" in Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, and "The Witch" in UNCW Opera Outreach's production of Hansel and Gretel. Thanks to Chiaki and Don for this exciting experience and to my incredible parents.

Kendra Georhing-Garrett (Lucy Brown) received her BFA in Music Theatre from Elon University. She is a preschool teacher at St. John's Episcopal Church. She is also working on a Masters in Early Childhood Education.Performing is her first love. Some of her favorite local productions have been: Debbie Does Dallas the Musical, Thoroughly Modern Millie, Anything Goes, Sweet Charity, and Peter Pan. She has also enjoyed being behind the scenes as a director and choreographer: The Wild Party (Director), Reefer Madness, The Who's Tommy, The Producers, The Music Man (Choreographer). She would like to thank Don, Chiaki, and Justin for this opportunity. Also this amazingly talented cast. Most of all thanks to my supportive family, friends, and mostly my wonderful husband Mitch! Thank you!

Shane Callahan (Matt) is from Titusville, PA.  His last show here was The Lost Highway.  He has a lead role in a movie coming out in February called "Forgotten Pills."

Nick Basta (Tiger Brown) NY: Off Broadway Beebo Brinker Chronicles/off off Macbeth.com (produced and starred)/ Seagull. TV: Law and Order 6 Episodes/As the World Turns Film: Little Red Wagon/Tempted. Currently Producing Concussion Documentary with the Art Collective ,ARTBANK entitled BELL-RUNG.  Thanks Joey, Corrina, mom for Baby Sitting.

Aaron Reel (Bob) is a junior at UNCW double majoring in Music and Communication Studies.  He has also been in musical theater shows such as Godspell, Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolored Dreamcoat, and the lead role in Brigadoon.  This is his first show with City Stage and is blessed to have the opportunity.  

Robin Hume (Dolly, Constable) is thrilled to be back at City Stage after a much too long break from theater!  She was last seen at City Stage in Dirty Rotten Scoundrels and as Olive in the 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee.  Thanks to all for the opportunity to participate in such a fascinating show!

Kandyce Brown (Betty, Constable) is a 2009 graduate in Theatre Arts from UNCW. Film credits include One Tree Hill and The Secret Life of Bees. Theatre credits include Hair, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, The Rocky Horror Picture show, and Chicago. I am so happy to be doing my last show in Wilmington with City Stage. Three Penny is going to be so much fun. I have had a blast and when I come back, I can't wait to see what's cooking. Special thanks to all the directors and producers for seeing something in me and putting me in your shows. I will miss you all thank you.

Cindy Colucci (Mrs. Peachum) Cindy Colucci has been performing since the age of 16. This is her third show with City Stage, and she is thrilled to be working with them again!

Caitlin Becka (Jenny) is so excited to work, yet again, with City Stage. Since returning to Wilmington after graduating with a B.F.A. in Musical Theater and spending the summer in NY attending the Stella Adler Conservatory, she has been seen as Magenta in Rocky Horror and most recently as Velma Kelly in Chicago. She would like to thank Chiaki, Kevin and Don for this wonderful opportunity and her friends and family for all their love and support!

Zack Simcoe (Mr. Peachum) has performed with a variety of different groups in and around Wilmington for the last 15 years. He currently works in the Box office at Thalian Hall Center for the Performing Arts.

Newlin Parker (Jake) After almost nine years, Newlin has become a regular part of the theater community in Wilmington, having participated in many shows, including Cats, 1776, Into the Woods, Urinetown, The Wizard of OZ, Sweeney Todd, Jekyll and Hyde, and West Side Story.  He has a B.M. in Vocal Music, and enjoys singing in the ensemble as much as playing character roles, when he's not busy working at Time Warner Cable, or fixing lights at Ibiza.

Alisa Harris (Molly) has been privileged to work as an actress, director, producer, talent agent, graphic designer and patron of the arts. Favorite roles include" "Vera" in SIDES; HAIR (Jeanie); INTO THE WOODS (Jack's Mom & Witch); A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM (Helena & Titania), ROCKY HORROR SHOW (Eddie); STEEL MAGNOLIAS (Truvy); ROBBER BRIDEGROOM (Salome, the witch); BEST LITTLE WHOREHOUSE IN TEXAS (Doatsy Mae), and her roles in theatre for children with Pied Piper Theatre. Steve Gallian (Kimball, Smith) is thrilled to be back on this wonder stage with so many talented actors. Steve was seen recently in White Christmas as Gen. Henry Waverly and Buddy! The Buddy Holly Story as The Big Bopper. And as always, To God be the glory!

Brandon Butorovich (Filch, Messenger) is honored to be working with City Stage.  Recent credits include Honk (Ugly), Little Shop of Horrors (Audrey II) and Hairspray.  Thanks to everyone here at City Stage, and much love to my family and friends, God, and my dog, Brooks, who is also my best friend!
